01 — About

Engineer by degree, creator by nature.

I'm Sayandeep Giri — a Software Engineer building fintech backends, GenAI tooling and systems software in Java, Rust and C++. I graduated in Computer Science and Engineering from Jadavpur University.

At Wells Fargo's Home Lending Technology team, I build customer-facing lending workflows, modernize legacy Java services and own a GenAI-based schema transformation platform that is replacing a legacy commercial tool across consumer technology projects.

Outside work I build open-source systems software in Rust and C++, research multimodal emotion recognition, and produce music. The best outputs come from patient, deliberate craft.

Converted from intern through a Pre-Placement Offer. Owned a GenAI-based XML-to-XML schema transformation platform end to end, replacing a legacy commercial integration-mapping tool (4 projects on it today, 7 more expected next cycle). One of the main developers of e-signature for loan and refinance, cutting cycle time from about 2 weeks to a couple of hours. Migrated 3 legacy services (30+ components) from Java 8 to Java 17 with Harness on OpenShift. Built agents and skills used by 30+ engineers, spoke at GenAI education calls for 60+ employees, mentored an intern, and won 1st place in the AI Innovation Challenge.
